In the painting, I present the majestic Serras Gerais, a famous tourist spot in the state of Tocantins, Brazil. The intense rain portrays the benevolence and divine purity in a miraculous spectacle. Amidst the features, I also depict a portion of the landscape corroded by human touch, where the regrettable consequences extend to the horizon, manifesting in extensive erosion. This significant environmental impact has reached distant areas, and now the rivers in the region where I live carry the residues of this degradation. Under the cloak of dry, chilly winter nights, the flames of wildfires rise in the distance, mercilessly devouring vegetation in the heights of the Serras Gerais.
